Biba sizes women's kurtas from S to XXXL (numeric 32 to 42), and there is a catch: Biba has no XS, and its letters sit lower than most brands. A 34 bust is an M at Biba but an XS at Libas. If you shop across brands, go by the centimetres below, not by the letter you usually buy.

Bust: around the fullest part, tape parallel to the floor, wearing a non-padded bra. Do not pull tight.
Waist: around the natural waistline, the narrowest point above your navel. Keep one finger under the tape.
Hip: around the fullest part of your hips and seat, feet together.
These are body measurements, not garment measurements. Biba adds wearing ease on top; a straight kurta in your chart size should skim, not cling.
Style changes the fit. Anarkalis and flared sets are forgiving through the hip; straight-cut pant sets are not. When you are between sizes on the hip, size by the hip for straight cuts.

No. Biba's published kurta chart starts at S, which is a numeric 32, fitting an 82 to 87.5 cm bust. If you normally wear XS elsewhere, Biba's S is usually the size to try.
At Biba, 34 is an M. Several other Indian brands label 34 differently, for example Libas labels 34 as XS. Always match on measurements rather than the letter.
Body measurements. Biba's chart is a to-fit chart: pick the size whose bust, waist and hip ranges contain your body measurements, and the garment itself will be cut with extra room on top.
